Iowa 73 Florida 72…27 years have flown by and finally the Iowa basketball team has made it to a sweet sixteen.Many epic things have gone down since then.I do not want to expound on them but suffice it to say it has been a long time coming for the Hawkeyes.Guard Tavion Banks was one of the big reasons the Hawkeyes triumphed Sunday.Tavion scored 20 points and had 6 rebounds to lead the Hawkeyes.Kael Combs a Iowa guard led the Hawkeyes with 6 assists.Alex Condonn led Florida with 21 points in a losing effort.Iowa plays Nebraska this Friday.

Michigan 95 St.Louis 72…The maize and blue continue their epic season as the 33 and 3 Michigan Wolverines defeated the upstart St.Louis Billikins 95 to 72 this Saturday.Michigan forward Yaxel Lendeborg took care of business as he led the Wolverines in scoring with 25 points.Fellow forward Morez Johnson Jr.led big blue with 8 boards.Elliott Cadeau was the man with the dishes handing out eight assists for the Wolverines.Amari Mcottry a Billiken guard led St.Louis in scoring with 17 points but to no avail.Michigan moves on to the sweet sixteen this Thursday night.

Illinois 76 VCU 55…The legend of the Illini continues on as the 26 and 8 Illinois squad keeps finding their rhythm.Andrej Stoikevic led Illinois in scoring with 21 points.Illinois center Tomislav Ivinisic led the orange and blue with 11 boards.David Mirkovic led the Illini with 4 assists.Terrence Hill jr.led VCU with 17 points in a losing effort for the Rams.Illinois moves on to play Houston in the sweet sixteen on Thursday night.
